Php Object Generator goes open source
written 4789 days agoPOG has just been accepted onto the sourceforge network! You can now download the source code and be one of the first to take a peek at version 1.5rev1 there. The URL is
https://sourceforge.net/projects/phpobjgen/
Please try it out and let me know what you think. Version 1.5 supports PHP 5.1 and thus PDO. Consequently, in addition to MySQL, POG is also compatible with databases which have PDO drivers, such as PostgreSQL, Firebird, SQlite etc. The main website (http://www.7795196.com) and mirror (http://www.faintlight.com/techinfo/pog/) haven’t been updated to this version yet but will be soon, possibly this week.
Just to be crystal clear: you don’t need to download the source code from sourceforge to generate code. You can simply use http://www.7795196.com. But for those wishing to modify, fix, contribute to the POG project itself, the code is at your disposal on sourceforge. If you make a modification/improvement to the code trunk, feel free to submit it back to us.
As a reminder, there are 2 main channels of communication for the POG project and we encourage you to use one of these channels for communication:
The POG Google group
The POG Weblog
Thanks.
Joel
